  1. What is 1ST CENTRAL's Refer a friend offer?

    Refer a friend is available to our existing customers. It lets you introduce one or more of your friends to 1ST CENTRAL car insurance. If they take out a new car insurance policy and their purchase is subsequently validated by us, we will give you a £30 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* and give them a £15 Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*.

  2. How do you know when I have bought insurance?

    The promotion uses a link to introduce your friends to 1ST CENTRAL. To be eligible for the reward you must click the link to visit the 1ST CENTRAL website and buy car insurance. If you do not follow that link we will be unable to track your purchase and you will not receive the reward.

  3. How do I Refer a friend?

    We'll ask you to complete a simple form, . The form produces your unique url which you can then send to a number of your friends. You can also share the link via Facebook, Twitter or What’s App– and if someone else clicks on your post or tweet (and follows the required steps to make a transaction with 1ST CENTRAL) you'll both get your reward.

  4. How do I know if I'm eligible for Refer a friend?

    The offer is only available to existing 1ST CENTRAL customers. If you are the friend who has been referred to us, you will be eligible to refer your friends once you have started your new car insurance policy.

  5. How will I get my reward, and how long will it take?

    The reward is claimed online, so it is sent to you in an email. The new car insurance policy will be validated 45 days after the policy start date. The reward emails will be sent out within a further 30 days after the validation date.

  6. Can I send multiple referrals?

    Yes. In fact, you can refer as many friends as you like.

  7. Can I make referrals using Facebook, Twitter or What’s App?

    Yes. As soon as you have registered for the promotion, you can share the offer on your Facebook,Twitter account or What’s App. Then, if another friend clicks on your link and follows the steps to register for the promotion and buy a car insurance policy from us, you'll both receive your rewards.

  8. My friend didn't receive a referral email. What went wrong?

    There is a chance it accidentally ended up in their junk email folder. May be worth asking them to check this folder, or send them the link via Social media.

  9. My friend purchased car insurance from you, but we haven't received our rewards. What went wrong?

    If you haven't received your rewards and more than 75 days have elapsed since the policy start date, please complete our enquiry form so that the Rewards Customer Support team can investigate and get back to you with a response.

  10. What are the tax implications of receiving the reward?

    Any reward received as a result of this promotion could be liable to income tax and should be declared as income to HM Revenue & Customs.

  11. How is my personal data stored? How secure is it?

    Your data is transferred from your web browser to our recommendation system using encrypted data format (SSL). It's then stored in our data warehouse, which is protected by a series of firewalls including intrusion detection. Any other data collected – such as name, email or postal address – is used only for the purpose of this offer and will not be used for any other marketing purposes.   12. Does this referral scheme use cookies to store data?

    Yes, it uses cookies to identify when your friend has clicked on the link and subsequent 1ST CENTRAL web pages. This means we can link an online purchase back to the original referral. No personal details are stored within this cookie part of the mechanism.

  13. Can 1ST CENTRAL employees send a referral to their friends?

    The offer is not open to employees of 1ST Central.

  14. What if I've received more than one email from different friends?

    Your purchase will only be counted once. The referrer's reward that results from your purchase will go to the friend whose referral link you last clicked on, prior to visiting the 1ST CENTRAL website to purchase your insurance.
